The Mississippi State football team is hosting the Arizona Wildcats, but the Bulldogs won’t be wearing maroon as the primary color on their uniforms this week.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are known for wearing maroon. It’s just one of the things that’s essentially synonymous with Mississippi State University. But this week, the Mississippi State football uniforms don’t have maroon as the primary color.
We’ve got a white out!
As Zach Arnett and his Miss. State football team welcomes the Arizona Wildcats to Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville, it almost looks as if the Bulldogs will be dressed as if they’re playing on the road.
(Just a reminder that they’re still playing this game in Starkville).
Mississippi State football breaks out all white uniforms for MSU Bulldogs’ game against Arizona Wildcats
And thankfully, the Mississippi State athletics department has paved the way for us to get a look at the uniforms ahead of the Mississippi State football game as they bring Arizona to town.
Here’s what the Bulldogs will be wearing tonight against the Wildcats:
Those are sharp looking uniforms. The script “State” logo (in maroon) looks solid across the Bulldogs’ helmets. And it sure seems like MSU fans tend to agree:
Given that it’s September, all white uniforms would work really well with how hot it can get in Mississippi. This time of year, things can get toasty. But, that really won’t be a problem this weekend.
The weather looks like it’s going to be gorgeous as kickoff gets closer and this is going to be a night game. So, it’s not like trying to reflect the sun is as much a necessity as it might be if this were a game that kicks off at noon or 2:30.
But hey, the uniforms still look good!
