What a wild and painful win for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Mississippi State football fans may or may not have had some words to say.

Look, it was excruciating and exciting in some of the worst ways, but Zach Arnett and the Mississippi State football team just prevailed in a bizarre and wild 31-24 overtime victory over the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.

The Bulldogs pulled off the win in Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field thanks to some clutch plays from Will Rogers, Woody Marks, Tulu Griffin, Jeffery Pittman, Bookie Watson, and Jett Johnson. And MSU won in spite of some questionable play calling on offense.

Because of how close the game was, Miss. State football fans have a LOT of thoughts on the matter. Folks are heated.

And they’ve got quite a bit to say. But, well, we’ll limit them to five words this week.

Here’s what they had to say:

Yeah. If some of those passes weren’t tipped and bounced around in weird ways, the Bulldogs probably don’t win this one.

GREAT QUESTION! WHAT HAPPENED?!

This game was exhausting and I never want to see MSU play Arizona ever again. NEVER AGAIN.

Folks on the internets have some serious thoughts about Mississippi State offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay. There are a lot of big feelings about the game that he just called. And Will Rogers should’ve had the ball in his hand quite a bit more.

OR LET MIKE WRIGHT RUN!

What was the offense planning on doing?!

Agreed. And they can learn that…

There was way too much relying upon running the ball. Way too much.

I don’t feel like we did.

Yeah, I’d really appreciate it if we never saw a Mississippi State football game that happens to be THAT stressful ever again. I DIDN’T LIKE IT.
