Ole Miss fans frustrated as Dan Mullen set for 2023 Egg Bowl

While some Mississippi State football fans are on board with Dan Mullen at the Egg Bowl, it doesn’t look like Ole Miss fans are excited.
The 2023 Egg Bowl is going to feature an interesting name as part of its broadcast crew. ESPN has put Dan Mullen on Thursday night college football games (he’s been doing a really good job for the self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports) and that means he’ll call the annual Mississippi State football game against the Ole Miss Rebels.
It’s a rivalry! It’s fun! He’s sure to have a ton of insight given all of his experience coaching in the SEC. He’s definitely familiar with both the Ole Miss Rebels and the Mississippi State Bulldogs given his experience coaching at *checks notes*

Ah, well, I’m sure he’s going to be unbiased and not say anything that would infuriate either fanbase. There’s no way Ole Miss fans will be mad that a former Mississippi State football coach is part of the Egg Bowl, right?

Folks up in Oxford aren’t exactly thrilled. In fact, some folks are definitely not happy with this Egg Bowl news at all.
It looks like there are some Ole Miss fans who will be listening to the radio, which, you know, fair enough. That’s not an uncommon choice for folks to pick during a college football game.
Some, on the other hand, are having choosing fun with this. Because why not have fun with this? This is a unique and bizarre circumstance, so you might as well have a little fun and crack a few jokes here and there.
On the other hand, some seem to be REALLY upset on this matter and are not in a jovial mood.
