Jaden Crumedy discusses 2 unique games on 2023 Mississippi State football schedule

The 2023 Mississippi State football season is getting closer and one experienced veteran has some interesting thoughts about the upcoming schedule.
Jaden Crumedy is a key member of the Mississippi State football program and he’s got plenty of playing and leadership experience with the Bulldogs. And of course, he’s got his eyes on two intriguing non-conference games for the 2023 Mississippi State football season.
During SEC Media Days, Crumedy fielded a couple questions about two of the non-conference games the Bulldogs have coming up this season. And he had some interesting thoughts on both of them.
When presented with the chance to chat about the early season showdown against MSU’s Pac-12 opponent, the Arizona Wildcats, Crumedy noted that he didn’t get the chance to play them a season ago, but he’s looking forward to it this season.
“I just anticipate it being different because I haven’t played a Pac-12 team,” Crumedy stated, according to ASAP Sports.
When he had the chance to discuss it further, the defensive lineman noted that he’d never had the chance to play the Wildcats. And now it’ll be a fun opportunity.
“I really feel — I’m really excited playing that game because you can play against people you never played before, and they’re coming all the way down here,” Crumedy noted. “It will be really fun for me.”

But there’s another interesting game for Crumedy. The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native will get the chance to face the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
He noted that there wasn’t much of a personal significance to the matchup, but he did highlight how he’s going to get a chance to see some loved ones.
“To me, I just approach it like any other game,” Crumedy said. “At the same time, I know a couple players that go there. I’m just really ready for the game because like some of my family, they’ll still be coming to the game to see it, and I see other family members after the game as well,” he said.
Both of these non-conference matchups can present some interesting problems for the Bulldogs and they’re both possible trap games for MSU.
The Mississippi State football team can’t afford to overlook either of these foes. That Arizona game falls right before State hosts LSU and then the Southern Miss matchup happens just a handful of days before the Egg Bowl.
