Sam Purcell’s second season as the head coach of the Mississippi State women’s basketball team is getting closer and we’ve got a pretty good idea of who the Bulldogs will be facing during the upcoming 2023-2024 Mississippi State basketball season.

The Southeastern Conference has announced all of the matchups that each SEC school will have as they go into the 2023-2024 season. And of course, that includes Purcell and his Mississippi State Bulldogs.

As Purcell and his Mississippi State basketball team try to build momentum after a strong 2022-2023 season, here’s which SEC foes State will face this year.

These are the home games that MSU basketball fans can catch at the Hump:

  • Georgia Bulldogs
  • LSU Tigers
  • Tennessee Lady Volunteers
  • Missouri Tigers
  • Florida Gators
  • Kentucky Wildcats
  • Vanderbilt Commodores

The following are road opponents for the Bulldogs this coming season:

  • Alabama Crimson Tide
  • Arkansas Razorbacks
  • South Carolina Gamecocks
  • Texas A&M Aggies
  • Auburn Tigers
  • Kentucky Wildcats
  • Florida Gators

Mississippi State will also get a home-and-home set up with the Ole Miss Rebels since they are the Bulldogs’ permanent opponent on their schedule.

The conference has yet to release the dates and times for all of these games. So, that’s not here just yet. But this is a big reveal for what the schedule will look like and gives SEC basketball fans plenty to discuss going into this coming season.

Purcell and his Bulldogs had some ups and downs last season, but they made the NCAA Tournament and had some notable success in big moments. It’ll be fun to see what they can accomplish this season.
