Zac Selmon is bringing about some positive change at the Hump as there will now be some student seating on the sidelines for Mississippi State basketball season.

The atmosphere at Mississippi State basketball games is about to get a lot more entertaining. Zac Selmon and the Mississippi State athletics administration have made the decision to move some student section seating right along the sideline at the Hump.

This is a huge move and it’s a move that Mississippi State basketball fans and Mississippi State students have been wanting for years.

While MSU fans were hoping that the athletic department would do something to alter the atmosphere of the Hump to make it a more energetic atmosphere during games in the middle of the week when many season ticket holders didn’t show up, changes weren’t made under prior leadership.

But those changes are happening now.

Mississippi State basketball adds some student section seats on sideline

Placing the most active and energetic portion of those in attendance at the Hump right on the sideline can completely change the atmosphere of home games for the Bulldogs.

Selmon has only been in Starkville for a handful of months, but moves like this certainly make it clear that he intends to be an athletics director that can bring about change and make adaptations so that Mississippi State can thrive.

And that’s something that should endear him to Mississippi State fans (and especially the students) as the Bulldogs continue to win.

Not all of the details for what’s going on have been released just yet, but we should see them soon.

The Bulldogs have needed this change to happen for a while now. Selmon is making it happen.
