The Mississippi State baseball team is back at Dudy Noble Field to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks in Game Two of an SEC baseball series.

Tonight’s game will have its first pitch at 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET. The Diamond Dawgs look to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss last night.

The matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks will be played at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville, Mississippi.

Chris Lemonis and the Mississippi State baseball team need to make a statement this weekend after not starting so hot this 2023 college baseball season.

The Diamond Dawgs have shown spurts of excitement, especially from their batts, in the first few games of the year. Pitching is where the Bulldogs have struggled most of this season.

Chris Lemonis is the first and only coach at Mississippi State University to win a national title, but if he doesn’t get it together soon, he might be looking at the door.

He believes this team is stacked full of talent, and they can make their way back to Omaha, but the turnaround needs to start tonight.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are 25-2 in this season. The Gamecocks are ranked No. 9 in many college baseball polls.

The Gamecocks are coming off a series sweep vs. the Missouri Tigers last weekend and a win last night in Game One vs. the Bulldogs.

This season there have been so many names that I had not heard called until this year. This team has the potential to really grow.

Chris Lemonis has done his job recruiting these guys and getting them to come to play at Dudy Noble. Now, we need to see the product of what Lemonis has worked at for three years.
