Mississippi State Baseball vs. South Carolina: Start time, TV info, and more

The Mississippi State baseball team is back at home to take on the South Carolina baseball team in a home series.
Mississippi State baseball will play three games this weekend versus the Gamecocks. Game 1 will have its first pitch at 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday night.
The Diamond Dawgs look to bounce back after being swept in their first two SEC series vs. Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
The matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks will be played at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville, Mississippi.
Here are some notes that you need to know before watching today’s Mississippi State baseball game:
Mississippi State baseball is coming off a midweek win vs. Samford.
The Diamond Dawgs are coming off a comeback win vs. the Samford Bulldogs at Dudy Noble Field. The final score was 9-4.
Mississippi State baseball is working to bounce back after last year’s season and the start of conference play this season.
Last year, the Mississippi State baseball team had one of the worst seasons in recent history. What made it even worse was the Diamond Dawgs were coming off winning a national championship the year before in 2021 when they defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores.
The good thing is it would be hard for the Diamond Dawgs to have a worse year than they did last year. The Mississippi State baseball looks to turn things around from last year, and once again, make it back to Omaha.
Although, SEC play has started off to a pretty rough start. The Bulldogs need to find a win … a series win this weekend.

Chris Lemonis is the only Mississippi State coach to ever win a national title at the university. His winning mindset should put the Diamond Dawgs right back in the conversation.
One thing the Bulldogs need to fix this weekend is pitching. The batts have seemed to stay hot for every game this season.
Coach Lemonis might be looking at a hot seat if things don’t turn around soon.
