Teams are honoring former Mississippi State head coach, Mike Leach, in their bowl games.

We have seen a few teams come out of the tunnel the day of their bowl game and honor former Mississippi State Bulldogs head coach, Mike Leach.

The Houston Cougars and the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns faced off in the Independence Bowl on Friday, December 23rd. As the Houston Cougars were running out of the tunnel to warm up before the Independence Bowl started, social media noticed that the Houston Cougars’ coaching staff were wearing the same “STATE” sweatshirt that Mike Leach would wear during Mississippi State football games.

Later that evening, the Missouri Tigers and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons faced off in the Gasparilla Bowl where the Missouri Tigers’ head coach, Eliah Drinkwitz, wore a shirt honoring the Mississippi State Bulldogs head coach. The shirt had a photo of Mike Leach crossing his arms on it.

Many other teams have had a sticker on the back of their helmet saying “MIKE” or “ML” honoring Mike Leach.
