Merry Christmas, Mississippi State Bulldogs. It has been a fun, exciting, and sobering year.

This Christmas, let’s take a look back at some of the highlights and not so highlighted moments that have taken place this year. We have shared a lot of memories, both good and bad, this year. I know there will be many more to come, but first, let’s have a look at the last few months.

Mississippi State Football goes 8-4 with an Egg Bowl victory.

Honestly, this was an incredible season for the 2022 Mississippi State football team. They accomplished so much this season, and the momentum going into 2023 is higher than ever before.

A piece of why the momentum is so high going into the 2023 college football season is due to winning the Battle for the Golden Egg.

It was privilege to be able to experience Mike Leach’s final game as a head coach in Oxford, Mississippi.

Mississippi State Basketball finds its way into the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2019.

Mississippi State basketball hired Chris Jans this year, and he already has the Bulldogs in the AP Top 25 poll. The Mississippi State Bulldogs had not been ranked since 2019.

The Mississippi State basketball program as a whole is on the rise, and Chris Jans and the boys are just getting started.

Mississippi State Football Head Coach, Mike Leach, passes away at 61.

We shared many memories with this guy over the last three years. Mississippi State head football coach, Mike Leach passed away on December 12th, 2022. Bulldog fans and college football fans from around the country came together to honor the life of Coach Leach in several different ways.

Mississippi State University held a memorial service for Mike Leach on December 20th, 2022. The Humphrey Coliseum was packed with college football legends, players, and fans to remember Coach Leach and honor his family.

Bulldog fans, Merry Christmas. We share many memories together, both good and bad, but isn’t that what family is all about?
