The Mississippi State Football recruiting class finished Early Signing Day with 27 signees.

The Mississippi State football program finished Early Signing Day (December 21, 2022) with 27 signees and many of them were some of the best recruits Mississippi State football has ever seen.

Let us take a look at where the Bulldogs won on Early Signing Day 2022.

Quarterback.

4-star quarterback, Chris Parson was the first to sign with the Mississippi State Bulldogs around 7:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday. Parson was originally committed to Florida State University but flipped his commitment before the start of the 2022 college football season.

Wide Receiver.

If the Mississippi State Bulldogs continue to run some form of the Air Raid offense, the wide receiver position might be the most important position for the Bulldogs.

4-star wide receiver, Creed Whittemore out of Gainesville, Florida, signed with the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Wednesday. Whittemore is about six feet tall and weighs around 175 pounds. Whittemore might have been a good pickup to replace former Mississippi State Bulldog wide receiver, Austin Williams.

Safety.

The safety position was the biggest pickup of the day for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Later on Wednesday afternoon, 4-star safety, Isaac Smith signed with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Smith, out of Fulton, Mississippi, was a highly rated 4-star safety with some larger schools coming after him. Smith had offers from the LSU Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, and Texas A&M Aggies. Zach Arnett seems to think that Mississippi State can be just big as these SEC and ACC programs.

The Mississippi State football staff did a great job of keeping Mississippi players in the state of Mississippi. Zach Arnett and his team of coaches did a great job with this 2023 Early Signing Day class considering the passing of head coach, Mike Leach, just a few days before signing day. If Early Signing Day is any indication of how Arnett and the crew will be over the next four years, I would say Bulldog fans are in for a fun ride.
