Mississippi State Football releases an update on Coach Mike Leach
By Landon Young
On the night of December 11th, Mississippi State Football’s head coach, Mike Leach, was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Coach Mike Leach is in critical condition and could use your prayers. Robbie Faulk from 247 Sports expressed that Coach Leach needs a miracle.
It is in times like these that you are reminded how much bigger a person’s life is than your favorite sport or favorite team, but it is also a reminder that you love these people.
I have never met Mike Leach face to face, but it is easy for me to say that I love that man. I have loved watching him coach from the moment he stepped foot off the plane in Starkville, Mississippi back in 2020. I think many Mississippi State fans could say the same. From passing for over 600 yards and beating the LSU Tigers in his first game as Mississippi State’s head coach to finishing the biggest comeback win in Mississippi State history vs. Auburn, Coach Leach is one of the greats at Mississippi State and always will be.
College football fans around the world are having some of the same thoughts that I am. He is a blessing to the college football world, and it would not be the same without the Pirate standing on the sidelines in his black “STATE” sweatshirt.
Whether you know Coach Mike Leach personally, enjoy the Air Raid offense, or just love watching his post-game interviews, he is truly a gift to the college football world.
Mike Leach has a wife and four kids. His wife’s name is Sharon Leach and his four kids are Cody Leach, Kiersten Leach, Kim Leach, and Janeen Leach.
Maroon and White Nation will be releasing any updates that Mississippi State University releases. Until then, please take time to pray for Coach Mike Leach and his wife, Sharon Leach.
