Mississippi State Women’s Basketball Live Stream vs. ULM Warhawks
By Landon Young
The Mississippi State women’s basketball team is set to take on the Lousiana-Monroe Lady Warhawks tonight at 5:00 p.m. CT. The Lady Bulldogs will return to their home court, and the game will be played at the Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, Mississippi.
Here are a few notes concerning tonight’s game:
Mississippi’s severe weather moved tip-off time up.
Tonight’s game was originally supposed to be played at 7:00 p.m., but due to severe weather in the state of Mississippi, the tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. There will be no fans allowed into the Humphrey Coliseum tonight.
Sam Purcell is the guy to build this program.
Sam Purcell seems like the guy. What do I mean by the guy? I mean he’s the best option to come in and get close to what Vic Schaefer built at Mississippi State. Will Purcell have back-to-back final four runs? Maybe or maybe not, but this is the coach that Mississippi State sees a future with, and the fans need to be bought back into Mississippi State women’s basketball.
The Lady Bulldogs’ two losses were against good teams.
The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs have lost two games this 2022-2023 season, both of which were extremely tight games. The first team that handed the Lady Bulldogs their first loss was the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Despite (probably) never hearing this team’s name, this team will probably be seen in the NCAAW basketball tournament this spring.
Nebraska was the second loss for the Lady Bulldogs, and they lost that one in overtime, 73-65.

Remember: There will be no fans allowed into tonight’s matchup between the Bulldogs and Warhawks.
Prediction: I’ll take the Lady Bulldogs to win this one big. Many of Purcell’s wins have been blowouts, and I expect nonetheless tonight. Lady Bulldogs win, 80-52.
