The Mississippi State basketball team is now 7-0 in the 2022-2023 basketball season. The Mississippi State Bulldogs have shown more fight this year under new head coach, Chris Jans. The Bulldogs look to continue that momentum through the rest of the non-conference games and carry it over to SEC play starting on December 28th vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Let’s take a look at the rest of the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ non-conference schedule for the rest of the year.

Saturday, December 3rd vs Mississippi Valley State at 1:00 PM

The next opponent the Bulldogs will face is the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils at home this Saturday. This is a game the Bulldogs feel as if they can dominate up and down the court. Expect the Bulldogs to hold another opponent to under 50 points in this one.

Sunday, December 11th @ Minnesota at 7:30 PM

After Saturday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will have a week-long break until they head up to Minnesota to face the Golden Gophers at their place. This could be a challenging ballgame considering the Minnesota Golden Gophers are 3-1 at home. Plus, anytime your team is traveling that far away from home, it can be a challenge.

Wednesday, December 14th vs Jackson State at 6:30 PM

Deion Sanders! Wait… no, that’s not right. Anyways, the Bulldogs will face off against an in-state opponent, the Jackson State Tigers on December 14th at the Mississippi Coliseum. If you are a Bulldog fan that lives in or around Jackson, this will be an easy game to attend.

Saturday, December 17th vs Nicholls at 2:00 PM

The Bulldogs will have a short turn-around to get ready to face the Nicholls State Colonels that same week on Saturday, December 17th. The Bulldogs will return home to the Humphrey Coliseum for this one.

Tuesday, December 20th vs Drake at 4:00 PM

This game vs. the Drake Bulldogs looks as if it could be the most difficult for the Mississippi State Bulldogs to walk away with a win. Drake is now 6-0 on the season.

All of that to say, Mississippi State Basketball has a chance to go undefeated in its nonconference slate of games.
