The Mississippi State Bulldogs are headed to Oxford to take on the Ole Miss Rebels at 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET. After facing three straight home games, the Mississippi State football team is back on the road. The Bulldogs have not won a road-SEC matchup this season. The matchup between the Bulldogs and the Rebels will be played at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi.

This will be the 119th meeting between the Bulldogs and Rebels.
The first matchup between Mississippi State and Ole Miss dates all the way back to the year 1901. There have been all sorts of history in between. I don’t think this year will be any different. I expect this game to be weird and go down to the wire.

All week, Egg Bowl Twitter has been about the possible departure of Ole Miss head coach, Lane Kiffin. Rumor has it Lane Kiffin has been or will be offered the head coaching position at Auburn.
