The Mississippi State football team is back again for another home game in Davis Wade Stadium to face off against the Bulldogs of Georgia. The Mississippi State football team is now 3-3 in the SEC after defeating the Texas A&M Aggies, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Auburn Tigers. Today, the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ attention is focused on the Georgia Bulldogs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs look to continue its momentum after defeating SEC West opponent, the Auburn Tigers. Mike Leach expects his offense to be able to move the ball on this elite Georgia defense.

This will be the 26th meeting between the Bulldogs and the Bulldogs of Georgia. Mike Leach is 0-1 vs. the Georgia Bulldogs in his tenure at Mississippi State.

In 2020, the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Georgia Bulldogs faced off in Athens, Georgia at Sanford Stadium. The Mississippi State Bulldogs hung around in that game all the way until the fourth quarter. Mississippi State actually took 2020’s game into halftime tied up. The final score was 31-24 Georgia. Will Rogers finished that game with 336 yards and 1 touchdown. Today’s game will be played at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi.

The Georgia Bulldogs are 9-0 with wins versus Oregon, Samford, South Carolina, Kent State, Missouri, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Florida, and Tennessee. The Georgia Bulldogs have a chance to close out the SEC East race today with a win over Mississippi State.

The Auburn Tigers have losses against Penn State, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. The Tigers will be going after some momentum after firing head coach, Bryan Harsin, this week. The Bulldogs look to put an end to any chances of the Tigers making a bowl game this season.
