The Mississippi State football team is coming off a bye week and heading into another SEC West matchup vs. the Auburn Tigers. What has to happen for the Bulldogs to handle business this Saturday?

The Mississippi State football team is back home in Davis Wade Stadium this Saturday night to face off against the Auburn Tigers. The Mississippi State football team is now 5-3 (2-3). In the Bulldogs last game, they suffered another SEC loss when Alabama coasted through Mississippi State, 30-6. Now, their attention turns toward the Tigers.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are back in Starkville, Mississippi for the next three opponents. The Mississippi State football team will host the Auburn Tigers this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT. Mississippi State is currently a -12.5 point favorite according to Fanduel.com. Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

This will be the 96th meeting between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Auburn Tigers. The Tigers currently lead this series 65-28-2.

Last year, the Bulldogs were not competitive vs. the Auburn Tigers in the first half, but Will Rogers finished last year’s game vs. Auburn with 415 yards passing and 6 touchdowns which mostly came from the second half. At one point, the Bulldogs were down 28-3 in the second quarter but scored a touchdown right before heading into halftime. The Mississippi State football team that showed up in the second half was a completely different team.
