The Mississippi State football team is headed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where they will be facing off against SEC West opponent, the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Mississippi State Bulldogs come into this game with a 5-2 overall record and a 2-2 SEC record. The Alabama Crimson Tide have an overall record of 6-1 and an SEC record of 3-1.

The game will be televised on ESPN’s primetime 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET slot. Who will be the play-by-play and color analyst? No other than Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit. ESPN saves these guys for big-time top-25 matchups and Mississippi State vs. Alabama receives them for Saturday night.

Chris Fowler will be announcing the play-by-play. Before Rece Davis took over, Chris Fowler was the lead host for ESPN’s college football pregame show, College Gameday. Kirk Herbstreit will be alongside Chris Fowler as the color analyst. Ohio State graduate and former quarterback, Kirk Herbstreit, continues to play a large role as a host on College Gameday. The sideline crew for Saturday night’s game will be Holly Rowe and Todd McShay.

The ESPN crew that will be covering the Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide is an elite crew that many Bulldog fans are excited about. Mississippi State faced off against the LSU Tigers on the third week of the college football season and received the primetime ESPN night game, but Fowler and Herbstreit were not on the call. This Saturday night, Mississippi State will get the best of the best.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are looking to make Saturday night’s game competitive vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide, as they haven’t had a competitive game with the Tide since Dan Mullen and Nick Fitzgerald’s 2017 team. The Bulldogs have not scored a touchdown in Tuscaloosa since Dan Mullen and Dak Prescott’s No. 1 2014 team. Mike Leach and Will Rogers look to change that by giving Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit some excitement on Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
