Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Kentucky Wildcats: Prediction and odds for week 7
By Landon Young
My father played a large role in my addiction to college football and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. I have grown up watching, listening to, and traveling to SEC games all over the country with him. One of the conversations we tend to always have before the weekend is the betting lines. Now hear me out… We don’t actually place any bets, but we do seem to know how the games will end up. Every week, my dad and I will call each other to pick the SEC lines of the week.
Before the day kicks off at 11:00 a.m. CT, be sure to check out our picks. I am not saying that we’re always correct, but I am saying that we are usually close. We typically pick the Mississippi State Bulldogs no matter who they are playing so you might not want to use our advice in that game. The lines that we base our picks off of are found at FanDuel.com. Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
Auburn @ Ole Miss (-14.5)
Dad: I hope I’m wrong, but I think they’ll cover. I’ll take Ole Miss.
Landon: I’ll also take Ole Miss to win big and hope I’m wrong.
Vanderbilt @ Georgia (-37.5)
Dad: I’ll say Vandy covers the -37.5.
Landon: 37 points is a whole lot of points. I like Vanderbilt to stay within 37.
Alabama (-8.5) @ Tennessee
Dad: I’m going to say Bama covers. I think there’s a lot of hype around UT right now because the LSU game was given to them on a silver platter with turnovers.
Landon: Sing it with me, dad. GOOD OLE ROCKY TOP! I like the Vols to cover the -8.5 in this one.
Arkansas @ BYU (-1.5)
Dad: If KJ is 100% back, I like the Razorbacks in this one.
Landon: I do not. I like BYU to win this one straight up and cover.
LSU @ Florida (-2.5)
Dad: I think Anthony Richardson is trending down right now. I’ll take LSU.
Landon: I like the home team in this one. Give me Florida.
Mississippi State (-3.5) @ Kentucky
Dad: I know that Mississippi State is playing way better football right now, and our trenches should dominate this game. I’m hearing that Kentucky is going to blitz a lot this game, and I think that plays in our favor. Unless we have a lot of turnovers and get out of rhythm, I like for us to cover. The Bulldogs win, 34-24.
Landon: I like Mississippi State to win 34-24 as well. Again, I promise I didn’t cheat off of Dad’s score.
