The Mississippi State Bulldogs are back at Davis Wade Stadium this weekend to face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Mississippi State football team found their first SEC win of the season last week vs. the Texas A&M Aggies. The Bulldogs defeated the Aggies 42-24. Today, the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ attention is focused on the Razorbacks.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs look to carry over the defensive momentum that took place last Saturday vs. the Aggies with 4 turnovers and a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown. Zach Arnett has this Mississippi State defense looking meaner than ever before, and I expect them to look to shut down the Arkansas rushing game.

This will be the 32nd meeting between the Bulldogs and the Razorbacks. Mike Leach has not defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in his tenure at Mississippi State. Last year, when the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Arkansas Razorbacks faced off, the Bulldogs came up short, 31-28, in Fayetteville. Today’s game will be played at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are 3-2 with losses against the Texas A&M Aggies and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Last week, the Razorbacks hung in there with the Alabama Crimson Tide and actually took a lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Razorbacks fell short, 49-26. The Razorbacks defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats in the first week of the college football season. The Razorbacks have not seemed to be able to put all their weapons together for a complete game this season. That being said, the Razorbacks may be without one of the greatest offensive weapons on Saturday. KJ Jefferson is still questionable as to whether or not he will play vs. the Bulldogs today.
