The Mississippi State Bulldogs take on the Arkansas Razorbacks this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT. The 2022 Mississippi State football team looks to carry over its momentum going this weekend vs. the Razorbacks. Who are the people that could stop them? I’m glad you asked.

Bumper Pool

As Mike Leach mentioned, what a great name to have if you play the linebacker position. Not only does Bumper Pool have a great name, but he is also one of the best linebackers in the SEC. From open field tackles to rushing the quarterback, the Mississippi State offense must have him on their minds.

Raheim Sanders

Raheim Sanders’ nickname is Rocket Sanders. The nickname explains itself, and the Bulldogs’ defense must be ready for the Arkansas rushing attack. If Mississippi State can shut down Rocket Sanders and the Arkansas rushing attack, I believe they can win the game.

Ketron Jackson Jr.

Ketron Jackson Jr. led the team in receiving yards last week vs. Alabama with 4 receptions for 48 yards, averaging 12 yards a reception, and 1 touchdown. This is a guy who can make something happen after the catch, and if the Bulldogs aren’t careful, he can get behind the defense. Emmanuel Forbes and the Mississippi State defensive backs must be ready for this guy.

Drew Sanders

Drew Sanders led the Razorback defense in tackles last week vs. Alabama with 6 solo tackles and 6 assists. Like Bumper Pool, Sanders needs to be at the forefront of Mississippi State’s mind on Saturday. The linebacker corps for the Arkansas Razorbacks is arguably their best position group this year. Look for Sam Pittman to send either Sanders or Pool after Will Rogers on Saturday.

KJ Jefferson

Will KJ Jefferson play on Saturday? The answer is still unclear, but we know he is traveling with the team. I still lean 50/50 on if Jefferson will start against the Bulldogs on Saturday, but if he does, he is the number one player the Bulldogs need to watch out for. He is their playmaker, and he really helps the Arkansas rushing attack get started.
