The 2022 Mississippi State football season is off to a 2-1 start with wins vs. the Memphis Tigers and Arizona Wildcats and a loss vs. the LSU Tigers. The Mississippi State Bulldogs are back at home this Saturday for an SEC/MAC matchup vs. the Bowling Green Falcons. The Falcons come into this game 1-2 with an overtime win over the Marshall Thundering Herd and losses to the Eastern Kentucky Colonels and the UCLA Bruins.

The Falcons have a team that can put yards on the stat sheet. Bowling Green lost to Eastern Kentucky by a score of 59-57 in a seven overtime game. The Falcons put up 431 yards of total offense that day with 5 passing touchdowns from their quarterback, Matt McDonald. Last week the final score of the Marshall win was 34-31. The Bowling Green Falcons are coming to Starkville with a bit of momentum on their side.

The Bulldogs are coming off a loss at Tiger Stadium vs. the LSU Tigers, 31-16. Mississippi State opened up to a hot start, but could not carry over that momentum into the second half. The Bulldogs look to gain that momentum back this Saturday. Will Rogers needs to find a rhythm early and often through the air. I don’t think Mississippi State should have any issues on the line of scrimmage so they need to find some big plays.

Mississippi State will have the home crowd on their side as they return to Davis Wade Stadium this Saturday. The Bulldogs have been on the road the last two weeks of the season and will now receive a three-game stretch of home games. Scott Field is painted up and ready for some Bulldog football!

The 2022 Mississippi State football team will debut new uniforms this Saturday vs. Bowling Green. These uniforms were announced before the 2022 Mississippi State football season even began, but this Saturday the Bulldogs will run out of the tunnel dressed in new Adidas gear.
