The Mississippi State Bulldogs went on the road this past weekend and lost their first SEC game of the year at LSU, 31-16. Will Rogers did not have his best day on the field only completing 24/42 of his passes for 214 yards. This was a game that many circled as a loss before the season started but nonetheless hurts after opening up the game with a 13-0 lead.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are back home this Saturday morning. The Mississippi State football team hosts the Bowling Green Falcons this Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. CT. Mississippi State is currently a -30.5 point favorite. This will be the first time since 2013 that the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Bowling Green Falcons have faced off. The game will be played at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi.
The Bowling Green Falcons are 1-2 with losses to Eastern Kentucky and UCLA. Last week, the Falcons found a win vs. Marshall in overtime, 34-31. Marshall defeated Notre Dame in the second week of college football, but could not find a way to finish the game vs. Bowling Green. The Falcons seem like a team that can put up yards when they need to versus lesser opponents. The Bulldogs look to shut down any type of offense the Falcons have had going over the past three weeks. Mississippi State football needs to bounce back and make a statement this Saturday.
In this week’s episode of ‘Cowbell Off Campus,’ Landon Young and Addison Thigpen discuss what went right and what went wrong in last week’s game vs. the LSU Tigers. They then turn their attention to the Bowling Green Falcons and look at what Mississippi State needs to do to get back on track and put themselves in the win column. They finish the podcast by answering all of the questions you sent in via Twitter.
