Mississippi State Football: 2023 Schedule Released

The 2022 Mississippi State football team is off to a 2-1 start, but some shifted their thoughts to the 2023 Mississippi State football team today. Mississippi State released its 2023 football schedule last night around 6:45 p.m. CT. Here are my way too early thoughts on each game of the 2023 football season.

Mississippi State vs. Southeastern Louisiana

Win. I enjoy kicking off the season with a blowout win. I expect this game to be a good momentum starter for the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State vs. Arizona

Win. Although the game won’t start at 10:00 p.m., I expect the Bulldogs to run through this week and win handily.

Mississippi State vs. LSU

Win. Revenge game for Mike Leach. I expect Brian Kelly and the 2023 LSU Tigers to have problems with the cowbells.

Mississippi State @ South Carolina

Win. I can’t predict the Bulldogs to lose to the Gamecocks after what I’ve seen from both teams this season. Hey Frank, please keep the volleyball, basketball, and baseball teams off the field during this game.

Mississippi State vs. Alabama

Loss. Hey, I like that we get an earlier look at Bama in September rather than October or November like in previous years.

Mississippi State vs. Western Michigan

Win. Who?

Mississippi State @ Arkansas

Loss. This game looks scary because it will be our second SEC road game of the year and the first SEC West road game. I expect this game to haunt the Bulldogs for the rest of the season.

Mississippi State @ Auburn

Win. Auburn football might just be headed to a dumpster fire.

Mississippi State vs. Kentucky

Win. Big home game in Starkville in November. I expect this to be a sold-out crowd, and a big SEC win for the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State @ Texas A&M

Win. I expect this game to be sort of like the South Carolina game. I just can’t pick A&M right now by the looks of things this season.

Mississippi State vs. Southern Mississippi

Win. Hey there Golden Eagles, nice to see you again.

Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss

Win. Why am I nervous already? The Egg Bowl is back at home. I like the Bulldogs here.

Whew… That wore me out. Wait a second. Did I just predict the 2023 Bulldogs to go 10-2? Why yes, yes I did. This schedule looks to favor the Bulldogs heavily next season. So, don’t be down about Saturday’s loss vs. LSU because we’re going 10-2 next season!
