My father played a large role in my addiction to college football. I have grown up watching, listening, and traveling to SEC games all over the country with him. One of the conversations we tend to always have before the weekend is the betting lines. Now hear me out… We don’t actually place any bets, but we do seem to know how the games will end up. Every week, my dad and I will call each other to pick the SEC lines of the week.

Ole Miss -22 vs. Troy

Dad: Troy and the points… I’m just kidding. I’ll take Ole Miss and the points.

Landon: Ole Miss wins big… Unfortunately.

Utah -2.5 at Florida

Dad: Gosh… This is the one I’ve struggled with. My brain says to go with Utah. My heart says to go with the Gators. I’ll take Billy Napier and the Florida Gators!

Landon: I’ll take the Utes.

Kentucky -19 vs. Miami, Ohio

Dad: UK covers.

Landon: I think UK wins by three touchdowns.

South Carolina -12 vs. Georgia State

Dad: Tough one… I’ll take the Gamecocks.

Landon: I’m taking South Carolina. I think they’ll win by two touchdowns.

Georgia -18 vs. Oregon

Dad: Give me Oregon and those points!

Landon: Georgia wins by 21.

Alabama -40 vs. Utah State

Dad: 40 points is a lot, but yes, Alabama covers.

Landon: Never bet against Alabama.

Arkansas -7 vs. Cincinnati

Dad: I’ll the Hogs!

Landon: I will also take the Arkansas Razorbacks.

LSU -3 vs. Florida State (Sunday night in New Orleans)

Dad: This could be an interesting game. I’ll take LSU and the points.

Landon: Give me a southern accent Brian Kelly and the Tigers.

Mississippi State -15 1/2 vs. Memphis

Dad: Do you even have to ask? I say we cover.

Landon: Mississippi State football is back! This game should not be nearly as close as it was last year. Dawgs win by 24.
