As the women’s Mississippi State basketball team is getting ready to host the Ole Miss Rebels, it’s time for Mississippi State basketball fans to go over why the Bulldogs should win this game with ease.

It’s time for a rivalry game as Vic Schaefer and his Mississippi State basketball team host rival Ole Miss.

When looking at women’s basketball specifically, there’s an argument to be made that the Bulldogs themselves (and many fans of the Bulldogs) don’t care as much about Ole Miss as in certain other sports.

But, in all honesty, much of that sentiment has to do with how the Bulldogs have dominated the Rebels in recent years in women’s basketball. That doesn’t mean that MSU fans don’t care about this aspect of the rivalry, the anger and care just doesn’t happen to be as prevalent here as in other sports.

Add in that now the Mississippi State women’s basketball team is a national title contender and the Rebels are struggling this year and, well, some MSU women’s basketball fans would potentially be more interested in seeing the Bulldogs beat South Carolina rather than keeping up with MSU’s game against Ole Miss.

Still, this is Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

It doesn’t matter if fans of the Rebels aren’t interested in their team due to some struggles or that some fans of the Bulldogs don’t look at this game the same way that they used to.

This is still a rivalry and there’s going to be plenty of folks interested in how this game plays out. So, here’s 7 reasons why Mississippi State should take care of Ole Miss with ease.
