Ben Howland and the No. 18 Mississippi State basketball team are looking to get their second win of the season as they host the Hartford Hawks this afternoon.
It’s officially Mississippi State basketball season folks and Ben Howland’s 18th ranked Mississippi State men’s basketball team is looking to claim its second win of the season. The Bulldogs had no issue at all getting their first win of the year at home in Humphrey Coliseum and MSU shouldn’t have much of an issue getting its second win today.
The Bulldogs are hosting the Hartford Hawks, who are coming down to Starkville, Mississippi all the way from West Hartford, Connecticut. Mississippi State and Hartford are competing as part of the regional round of the MGM Resorts Main Event tournament, which is an 8 team tournament.
It’s not win or go home for the Bulldogs, as they’ll face Long Beach State on Friday as part of this tournament, but MSU certainly shouldn’t lose this game. The Mississippi State basketball team is built to succeed and can’t afford to lose to Hartford today.
