Mississippi State Football vs Texas A&M

Texas A&M finding a way to hire Jimbo Fisher was one of the most intriguing hires in all of college football this past offseason. The Aggies fired Kevin Sumlin and are paying him quite a bit of money not to be their coach this year.

And the Aggies are certainly confident in Fisher’s abilities to lead them forward.

A&M is a talented team. Sumlin consistently recruited at a high level while in College Station and there’s more than plenty of talent for Fisher and his staff to work with during this college football season. It may take a bit for Jimbo Fisher to get everything at Texas A&M situated in the way that he wants it to be, but he’s not exactly having to restock all of the cupboards and start over from scratch.

Texas A&M isn’t a national title contender this season, but they could provide an interesting challenge for MSU this year. The Bulldogs have beaten the Aggies in three of the past four seasons and have excelled against the other Maroon and White SEC team since Johnny Manziel left College Station.

MSU should win this game, but it could be a tricky one. The Bulldogs will be coming off of a game in Baton Rouge and it could potentially be difficult to get up emotionally after traveling to Death Valley.

ESPN’s FPI has MSU with a 62 percent chance of winning this game.
