The Mississippi State versus Northwestern State game on Saturday was supposed to be a cake walk, and it most certainly was. The game was pretty much decided from the moment the ball was kicked off. But that doesn’t mean the team can’t learn from such a lopsided victory from a highly inferior opponent.

There is no such thing as a perfect game. And though the Bulldogs looked pretty sharp all around, there are still some things the Bulldogs need to get corrected. There are also things that make you feel better as a Bulldog fan.

The game featured a little bit of everything. Mississippi State used three quarterbacks. Strangely enough, Northwestern State also used three quarterbacks. The Mississippi State versus Northwestern State game featured some records being broken. It also featured some really bad tackling.

And considering the fact Auburn was outplayed by an FCS team, and they just got their butts manhandled by LSU, then the Bulldogs have a solid opportunity to really rebound. The loser of the Mississippi State and Auburn game will be in a serious state of disarray. The winner will be 3-1 and on track to get there season turned around. The loser will be reeling at 2-2 and trying to figure out how they will make it to bowl eligibility. So this coming Saturday is pretty darn important.

So what is the most important things we learned from the Mississippi State versus Northwestern State game? Well let’s take a look at it and break down what we saw on the field Saturday.
