Talk about not expecting much from a player, Ben Beckwith wasnt even offered a scholarship when he came to Mississippi State. And he still became one of the best Offensive Linemen in the country.

Beckwith attended tiny Benton Academy in high school, so there weren’t a lot of coaches who saw him play. And even if they had, the competition he faced there would not have led many to believe he was worthy of a spot on an SEC roster.

Beckwith never let any of that hold him back. He worked hard and turned himself into a fierce competitor on the Bulldogs’ offensive line. Beckwith was eventually awarded with a scholarship for his hard work. He was rewarded for his outstanding play his Senior season in 2014 by being named to the Parade All American 3rd Team.
