One of the reasons that this talk has surfaced is because Mississippi State is expected to be better than usual. There are very few times when Mississippi State can make some noise, so the Bulldogs need to take advantage of it. If they do, Dak Prescott will be a big part of it. There isn’t any question about that. He can be good and the team can win 7 or 8 games, but if they are going to win 9 or 10, Dak Prescott will have to be brilliant.

And let me go ahead and say it because I know detractors are thinking it. That’s a lot that has to happen for Dak Prescott to win the Heisman. Yes it is. That’s been the forgotten point in this entire process. There is going to have to be a lot go right for Dak to pull this off, and that is why he is considered a Dark Horse candidate. Yeah, it’s a long shot, but it doesn’t mean you’re crazy or stupid for saying he has a chance, no matter how slim they might be.
