Vanderbilt is Jar-Jar Binks
Jar-Jar Binks was supposed to be the breakout character in Episode 1. He ended up being the most obnoxious and vilified character in the movies. His role was reduced to basically a cameo in Episode 2 because he was so reviled.
Vanderbilt looked like it was getting ready to take a step towards having the doormat removed from its place in the league. James Franklin looked poised to take this program to laces it had never been. Now, they look to head back to where they were, and who knows when they will make their next bowl game.
