Not going to lie guys, I have little to no time this week, and I have been off work all week long. When your parents get divorced, holidays always mean splitting things up. And somehow, we ended up hosting my dad’s side of the family on Thursday and my mom’s side of the family on Friday.

I say all that because I don’t have the usual amount of time to send out requests for questions and to answer the number of questions I usually get. So the MWN Mailbag is a little skimpy this week. Sorry about that.

To the questions!

There’s absolutely something more dangerous than that, and it is the deep ball to Laquon Treadwell. Chad Kelly has been able to show off Treadwell’s skills as a receiver much more than Bo Wallace ever did.

But the way to contain it is simple. The defensive line has to be disciplined and not over pursue on the outside. If they ends do, then Kelly can scramble out and put the defensive backs in a situation where they have to decide to either leave their man or go after Kelly.

So when they do get in situations where they have to make such a decision, the defensive backs have to make sure they are covering their assignments. If a corner goes up to make a play on Kelly when he is scrambling around, the corner will have to be certain the safety is back ready to take his man if he goes for Kelly.

It’s easier said than done. The instinct is to go after the ball carrier about to take up off the field. Hopefully the Bulldogs are prepared for it.

I thought about this as well when the game was over, and then it left me. I don’t think it is definitive that Arkansas would have given up and tried to set up for a field goal, but they would have been far more aggressive in getting to the end zone.

I think missing that extra point definitely made Bielema get very conservative at the end. If they hadn’t been in a position to win the game with a field goal and instead just tie, it might have led to the Razorbacks finding the end zone last Saturday.
