I’m not sure why the Ole Miss coaching staff continues to put their foot in their mouth, but they do. And it makes for a good laugh.
Just eight months ago Chris Kiffin went on a drunken twitter rampage attacking Mississippi State fans.
This week Hugh Freeze and defensive coordinator Dave Wommack decided to open up their mouths and out came, well, not much good.
After Bo Pelini insinuated Washington transfer Damore’ea Stringfellow ultimately chose Ole Miss over Nebraska because the Rebs were cheating, Freeze decided he’d go back into his patented ‘if you have something on us let us know about it’ [so we can cover it up].
I think it’s bad form … we’re colleagues and in this together. I reached out to him, actually, and said, ‘If you have something I don’t know, please call me.’
Typically coaches avoid the these types of questions or take the high road. But what is that saying about the guy that screams the loudest is probably the guiltiest?
Dave Wommack is a veteran coach – he’s 58 years old. You’d think he would have some restraint when talking to reporters. Or, as Ole Miss folks put it, some “class”. Here are his comments on DT Breeland Speaks:
He’s probably a little overweight right now but can you say when his nuts drop? As soon as his nuts drop then I think good things will happen. …
