SEC West Previews: Arkansas

Just a few short years ago Arkansas was in the midst of back-to-back double digit-win seasons and preparing for another. Now they are rebuilding with only seven combined wins over the last two years.

Schedule

  • at Auburn
  • Nicholls State
  • at Texas Tech
  • Northern Illinois
  • Texas A&M (in Arlington, TX)
  • (Bye)
  • Alabama
  • Georgia (in Little Rock, AR)
  • UAB
  • at Mississippi State
  • (Bye)
  • LSU
  • Ole Miss
  • at Missouri

The Hogs are only playing one game in Little Rock this year. Likely that’s due to playing A&M at Jerry’s World and they do have a trip to Lubbock, TX on the books. It will be interesting to see how they come out in Week 1 on the plains – if they were to pull off an upset it could really change the direction of their season. Otherwise, most folks aren’t expecting much different from what happened last year. Also of note – the permanent cross-over game vs. South Carolina has been traded in for Missouri (which makes more sense geographically).
