Week 11 SEC Football Schedule

November 8th

  1. Alabama at LSU
  2. Georgia at Kentucky
  3. Presbyterian at Ole Miss
  4. UT-Martin at Mississippi State
  5. Florida A&M at Auburn
  6. Florida at Vanderbilt

Somehow we get to ourselves to the second weekend of November and five teams have byes, with half of the games being played against FCS teams. It’s like the SEC was planning this week to be garbage except for what’s been the marquee game the last few years: Alabama vs. LSU.

The Bama/LSU series has been filled with some classic games recently. Ever since Nick Saban came to Alabama, facing his former team has led to some great games. Even in 2007, his first year, it was a hotly contested game – which LSU won on their way to a national championship. Then, of course, the game in 2011 that was built as the “game of the century”. Although it’s kind of hard for it to still have that title considering the Tigers won it in Tuscaloosa but Bama’s 21-0 win in the BCS Title Game overruled it.

We’ll see what the 2014 game has in store, but I doubt it will be a top 5 game this year.

Elsewhere there isn’t much going on. Maybe UK will sneak up on UGA, but probably not. Florida will be looking for some payback on Vandy.
