Walker Walk-Off Walks; MSU Takes Series vs. UT

Cody Walker earned a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 12th inning to put MSU over Tennessee 4-3 on Sunday afternoon. Pink jerseys and all the Dawgs take the series and improve to 33-19 (16-11) on the year.

Preston Brown got the start but was unable to get out of the second inning before the Vols scored their 3rd run. Lucas Laster quickly replaced Brown and threw 5.2 really solid innings to allow State to forge a comeback.

Wes Rea’s homer-less streak finally ended when he put on in the Left Field Lounge (first time since February 22nd) during the 6th inning. It was a great time for a long ball as it tied the game at 3 – where it would stay until the 12th.

Jacob Lindgren was great in relief as well pitching 5.1 scoreless innings and striking out eight.

Ole Miss took 2 of 3 from UGA this weekend so MSU remains one game out of first place in the SEC West heading into the final weekend. A trip to Tuscaloosa is on deck starting Thursday night.
