MSU Basketball in North Georgia: Women Win, Men Don't

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams were in northeast Georgia on Wednesday night. There was good news and bad news. We’ll start with the bad news first:

Another loss for the men. 12 straight. This one by a final score of 66-56 in Athens. Just depressing.

Up next is South Carolina at home for senior day. It’s a battle to not be in last place for the second straight year at the Hump.

Well enough about that, on to the Lady Bulldogs who won their opening game at the SEC Tournament in Duluth. They beat Missouri 73-70.

Martha Alwal had another big game with 16 points and 6 boards, Kendra Grant poured in 17 and Breanna Richardson nearly had a double double with 12 points and 8 rebounds.

We play Florida today at 1:30 on Sport South.
