Bent Bulldawg’s Bites: The 2013 Liberty Bowl

LibertyBowl2013Well, folks, it’s been a long, strange roller-coaster ride of a season to arrive at this point. Here we are on the eve of our 2013 bowl game — the Autozone Liberty Bowl against the Rice Owls.

A lot of history here as it is the 50th anniversary of Mississippi State’s appearance in the 1963 Liberty Bowl — the last Liberty Bowl to be played in the bowl’s original home, Philadelphia, PA, home of the Liberty Bell.

I certainly remember well the last time Mississippi State went to the Liberty Bowl in 2007. Beale Street was truly painted maroon and rang with cowbells that night!

It’s going to be cold, so y’all all remember to bundle up, and I’ll see you there.

Hail State!
