Today is junior college signing day for those enrolling in the spring semester, and Mississippi State got long time commit Jocquell Johnson to sign his national letter of intent.
Johnson is a consensus 3-star offensive tackle coming out of Copiah-Lincoln JC, originally from Wesson, MS. He’s 6′-5″, 305. His original commitment to the Bulldogs was made on May 21st.
This is a big time pick up because he should fill the void at right tackle left by Charles Siddoway. It doesn’t look like Damien Robinson will be able to reach the status of a starter at tackle, so we need Johnson to come in and contribute immediately, most likely as a starter.
