Senior Tribute: Denico Autry

Nov 9, 2013; College Station, TX, USA; Mississippi State Bulldogs defensive lineman Denico Autry (90) sacks Texas A

Denico Autry finishes out his career at MSU on New Year’s Eve. After coming in as a juco transfer from EMCC, he has started 22 of 25 career games.

Autry came in as a 5-star per Scout (4-star per Rivals & 24/7) so much was expected of him. To some degree that is a bit unfair as he was just a humble DE getting evaluated by others. The fact that Denico hit the field early and was on the field the majority of the time for the last two years tells you that is was a dynamic talent. Much of the time he received double teams, opening the door for other players along the D-line to rack up stats.

For his career, Autry had 72 tackles, 15 TFL, 5 sacks, 1 INT, 5 passed defended and 3 forced fumbles.

Big #90 is poised for his chance at the next level. Good luck and thanks for your time as a Bulldog!

P.S. I really love that photo of Denico and the boys getting after Manziel.
