MSU and UPig in the Least Watched SEC Series Ever

How many times have you seen Mississippi State play Arkansas? I think I’ve seen this series play out about 3 times.

Who is going to drive to Little Rock to see us play? If we wanted to go to a dump, we’d just go to Jackson. When it’s in Starkville, it always hits on the opening day of hunting season.

So if you don’t want to travel to Little Rock or miss the opening day of hunting season but you’ll watch it on TV you’re out of luck. It’s never on TV. Thank God for the SEC TV deal in 2009 or we’d never see this series our whole lives. 14 out of 19 games in this series were radio-only including eight in a row from 2001-2008 until it started being broadcast in ’09.

When it has been on TV, it’s been on Jefferson Pilot/RayCom/SEC Network/Dave Neal/way too early. We turned that trick again this year! Somehow it did make CBS in 2011, not sure what happened there.

So hopefully you can make it back from your deer stand in time for kickoff at 11:21 on Saturday to watch this game.

We may have this guy…

But at least we don’t have her…
