Gabe Jackson's Incredible Career at Mississippi State

The steady force of Gabe Jackson. He’s a guy you never have to worry about on MSU’s offensive line. He’s always there, always performing. On Saturday in Little Rock he’ll make his 50th career start for the maroon and white, tying a school record.

Jackson has started every single game of his career. From a redshirt freshman in 2010 to a 5th year senior this fall – he’s been as reliable at Left Gaurd as any player to play for Mississippi State. This year’s Egg Bowl, Senior Day at Davis Wade, would mark his 51st consecutive start which would set the record for most career starts passing Quentin Saulsberry (2008-11).

He was named an All-SEC Freshman in 2010, 2nd team All-SEC in 2011, 1st team all-SEC in 2012 and was on many preseason all-America lists coming into 2013. He’s projected to be a first round NFL Draft pick next spring, and might be the first Guard taken.

It’s been an honor to have Gabe Jackson on our team over the past four years. Here’s to hoping he finishes strong and represents MSU well at the next level!
