Mississippi State vs. #1 Alabama Preview

For the third straight week MSU will play a ranked foe. This time it’s at home, but it’s also vs. #1 Alabama. This will be the 3rd time in the last 6 years MSU has faced Bama when they were #1 (2008, 2012). The time before that was 1980.

Gametime is set for 6:45 at Davis Wade. It will be on ESPN.

Not much can really be said about this game. MSU is going to have to execute at a very high level to have any type of prayer, and they’ve got to force a team that doesn’t make mistakes into making a few of them. If we play tough and don’t make many mistakes and fight for four quarters but still lose that’s fine with me. This is a measuring stick game – how far has MSU come and can they put it together to compete with the best?
