Mississippi State’s game with #20 South Carolina will be played at 12:21 local time, 11:21 central on November 2nd. The game will be televised by the SEC Network.
MSU’s last trip to Columbia was in 2007 when they lost 38-21…that game was the early 11:30 game too. With the 2011 game in Starkville taking that time slot as well, this will be the 4th straight time in this series the game will be played in the dreaded early spot. And looking back a bit further, we all remember the nightmare 2000 Jefferson Pilot game in Columbia.
Unless you’re going to the game, this probably isn’t the worst news for Mississippi State. Morning games don’t give Gamecock fans all day to prepare and get rowdy. And I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t mind getting our game out of the way early and then enjoying the rest of the SEC slate of game. That enjoyment, however, may be null and void if we lose. Here’s hoping for a win – one of those big wins everyone seems to be talking about these days.
